No More Tears
We are in a series called End Time Prophecy Revealed with Pastor Richard Harris. This is lesson 3. Last week, we talked about 2 of the greatest blessings that we as believers in Jesus Christ can anticipate in the world to come when the Lord returns. This week, we are looking at 8 more blessings in our home churches, but here we are going to focus on just one. It’s one that we can all relate to because we’ve all, at some point, shed a tear. We’ve all been hurt at some point haven’t we? We’ve all suffered and life can be tough sometimes. But, the reason we are looking at these blessings right now is because hope is powerful. We talked last week about getting our hopes up! So let’s remind ourselves of another blessing that hopefully, will keep your hopes high!
In the world to come, there will be no more suffering. No more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again. Everything will be life and joy and peace. This is the best news of all. Perfection is on its way. All we have to do is hold on to Jesus, hold fast and stand strong and we will enjoy such rest as we can’t even imagine.
Revelation 7:9-17 is an awesome passage which you should go read again, but we’re going to focus on v17.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
God will wipe away every tear from every eye. No matter what is happening, as a believer in Jesus Christ, as part of the Body of Christ, an adopted child of the Living God, you can have the joy of anticipating that truth right now. Whatever this world and our futures have to offer us, we must hold on to this incredible hope and let it produce joy and patience and peace on the inside. That’s the whole vision and heart behind this series; to bring hope and expectation of the world to come so that we may stand against any trials or tribulations that might come our way.
2 Corinthians 5:17 is something we like to quote as a truth for our spirit-man here and now, which is great! But did you know that the same transformation that happened in our spirit when we were born again is going to happen to our physical bodies when we get to heaven! Isn’t that awesome?! Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
It’s not just your spirit-man but all things!
Revelation 22 says that in the new kingdom there is no sickness or death. Revelation 22:2-3 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.
So, this week, fix your hope on future glory and all that awaits the faithful saints who are found in Jesus. Yes this world will bring us trials and tests, but Jesus said to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world! Hallelujah!
Blessings of hope, joy and peace upon you all,
