Kingdom Agents

Last week, we began talking about The Law of Agency and what it is. If you missed it or would like to refresh your memory, last week’s blog is right here. But this week, we are going to look in more detail at how certain elements of the human law of agency are mirrored or have parallels in the Bible and our walk as Christians.

The first element is that an agent speaks for the principle. Did you know that you have been empowered to speak for God. Luke 10:16 He that hears you hears me; and he that despises you despises me; and he that despises me despises him that sent me.

Jesus was the first to preach the gospel. And now, we are called to the same mission. 1 Peter 4:11 says If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

That’s an incredible verse! This literally means the ‘mouthpiece of God’. That’s contrary to what religion would say, isn’t it. Religion wants to restrict and control how normal people operate in the Kingdom power and the gifts of the spirit. But this literally says ‘any man’.

God has empowered us to speak on His behalf, sharing the gospel, teaching the word of God, operating in the Gifts of the Spirit or just simply loving and encouraging people. You’re a represented of God in all that! So if you think you’re not called to do great things, think again! We are all commissioned and you are an agent, the duly empowered representative of God. You’re His deputy!

There is a lot more to this Law of Agency and Pastor Richard goes into more detail on our teaching video for this week. Check it out here.

Next week, we’ll get into the next Law of Grace;

Until then, have a blessed week!
